Your enquiry and our work
We use your name, contact details, postcode, property details and job description to respond, prepare quotations and provide requested services. Processing an enquiry and arranging work is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, and to perform our agreement. Security and prevention of misuse are based on our legitimate interests in operating a safe service. Legal obligations may require us to retain accounting and transaction records.
Your enquiry is delivered to our private Command Centre. Only authorised people should access it. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your quote.
Optional website analytics
With your consent, we use anonymous random browser and session IDs to record landing and viewed pages, activity times, contact-link clicks, quote activity, referring website, campaign tags, general device/browser/operating-system category and approximate country, region or city where available. We use this to understand our website and marketing and to notify MJ Services about visits and enquiries. Returning visitor means the same consented browser identifier, not a verified person.
Location is approximate, derived from network information by our hosting provider, and may be inaccurate or unavailable, particularly with mobile networks or VPNs. We do not store raw IP addresses in our analytics database, expose them in the normal Command Centre, collect exact GPS locations or use invasive fingerprinting. Infrastructure providers necessarily process network information to deliver and secure requests.
If you submit an enquiry while analytics is enabled, we may link that session’s marketing source and page journey to your lead. Anonymous visitors are not identified by name. You can decline or withdraw analytics through Cookie settings in the footer without affecting necessary form or security functions. We do not sell visitor information.
Retention
Detailed analytics sessions, events and visitor alerts have a 90-day retention window and are purged on the next collection or dashboard request after expiry. Browser visitor IDs expire after 90 days; sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Attribution voluntarily linked to an enquiry is retained with that business record. Enquiry and job records are kept only as needed to handle the request, provide services and meet applicable legal obligations; you can contact us about deletion or retention of a particular record.
Service providers and external links
We use hosted website, database and notification services provided through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare to operate the website and private management system. Device push services deliver alerts to the owner’s subscribed devices. These providers may process information in other countries under their applicable data protection arrangements. Access is restricted and information is sent over encrypted connections.
WhatsApp, email, telephone and external profile links use separate services with their own privacy terms. Avoid including other people or private documents in job photos sent through WhatsApp.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time; this does not affect lawful processing before withdrawal. Email us to exercise your rights. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
